Providing Montana families with the resources, tools, and assistance they need to raise healthy, successful children through signature programs that offer mentoring, education, and support.

Statement:

Helping families start and stay healthy is the most effective deterrent to child abuse and neglect, drug and alcohol abuse, delinquency, and numerous other issues facing society. All families need information, support, and resources at some point. Thrive works to communicate that need by meeting families where they are at and annually serves over 6,000 children and families through our five home grown preventative programs.

How we help:

Abigail, spent the majority of her childhood in the foster system, was adopted as a young teen, and became pregnant at sixteen. She received a full scholarship to Montana State University as a Hillman scholar and became the first person in her family to attend college. She was motivated to succeed but struggled to care for her son, lacking local support and the fundamental basics of how to parent. She was referred to Partnership where her Family Support Worker helped her secure childcare, attend parenting classes and group activities, taught her vital parenting and life skills, and got her counseling to meet her mental health needs. She successfully graduated this spring (a full year early!) with a degree in social work and has already been hired to provide mental health services to students in a local school district.
